LT-3 overview

 Lt-3 is the stronger of the two thyroid hormones that are produced by the body, the other being LT-4. The synthetic LT-3 hormone causes the same metabolic processes to take place as naturally occurring LT-3.

An increase in LT-3 causes a faster conversion of protein, carbohydrates and fats. Most bodybuilders appreciate this fact as it allows higher calorie diets while still reducing body fat percentage. Used in conjunction with anabolic steroids, the effects are even more pronounced due to the increased protein metabolism.

The drug is especially favoured among female athletes. In combination with Clenbuterol, the body will burn enormous amounts of fat without the intense side effects of a starvation diet. There are some side effects however. Firstly, due to the increased protein metabolism, LT-3 will cause a reduction in muscle mass, especially over longer periods of use, so this is not advisable. Secondly, prolonged periods of use can cause a permanent chronic thyroid insufficiency and this means you will need to be on thyroid medication for the rest of your life, besides you will get fat as a result. Therefore it is not recommended that you use LT-3 for periods longer than 6 weeks, preferably less and that you take at least a 2 month break between cycles, preferably more.

Dosage

In addition, the following procedure for taking LT-3 should be adhered to;

Start on a low dose of no more than 20mcg per day. You can increase the dose by 10-20 mcg every 4-5b days. A maximum dose of 100mcg is the absolute limit you should take, but this dose should be avoided. Women should not use anything over 50mcg per day. Furthermore, when discontinuing the drug, no sudden stoppage should happen, instead you should wean off the drug slowly reducing the dose down to 10-20mcg before stopping altogether.

Side effects

There are some more considerations; It is important to know about all the side effects and to take careful stock of them while using Lt-3, this will help you to gauge the correct dose or to lower the dose as necessary. The key is not to take more than is necessary, the effect can be drastic and if you are seeing results, there may be no need to increase dosage. Don’t ever use the injectable version.

Side effects include: heart palpitations, trembling, irregular heartbeat, heart oppression, agitation, shortness of breath, excretion of sugar through the urine, excessive perspiration, diarrhea, weight loss, psychic disorders as well as symptoms of hypersensitivity. Common symptoms are trembling of hands, nausea, headaches, high perspiration and increased heartbeat. Using, or lowering the dose when these manifest themselves can avoid most of the side effects. A protein rich diet is essential while using LT-3.

Please take note of all the warning and procedures before use as this drug can cause irreversible damage.
