Many people want to gain weight and rip at the same time, essentially this means you want to add muscle and lose fat. The problem is in what weight you gain and what you lose. Most people's expectations are a massive weight gain while looking ripped but this is just not practical. What could happen looks like the following example:
Pre cycle weight: 85Kg
Body fat %: 15%
This means:
Lean mass: 72.25Kgs
Fat mass: 12.75kgs
Cycle results:
Pre cycle weight: 90Kg
Body fat %: 12%
This means:
Lean mass: 79Kgs
Fat mass: 10.8kgs
Conclusion:
The weight gain of only 5kgs sounds mediocre to most people, but if you look carefully at what really happened. The actual gain in muscle weight was almost 7Kgs and the drop in fat mass almost 3 kgs.
Even if the overall weight gain was not as much the actual lean muscle gain is where you should look. keep this in mind on your next cycle.
