Trade name: Proviron
Proviron is a unique steroid that has no anabolic properties but does have androgenic properties. Originally Proviron was used to reduced some of the symptoms of testosterone deficiency like reduced sex drive. Better-suited products like Clomid and HCG soon took over this role. Proviron has however got a far better purpose and has been in the bodybuilder’s arsenal along side Winstrol and Oxandrolone when it comes to competition preparation. Proviron is an estrogen antagonist that stops the aromatising or conversion of testosterone into estrogen. It is very different from Timoxifen (Nolvadex) in that it does not block the estrogen receptor sites, but actually stops the conversion in the first place. This means that water retention and gynecomastia is successfully blocked. The benefit here during competition preparation is obvious. Proviron leads to harder and sharper muscles allowing the user to use higher androgens resulting in fuller and more muscles during the competition phase without the associated water retention.
It is not uncommon for athletes to be on Proviron year round in order to look sharp and hard for competitions and gust posing. As a final touch to competition preparation, Nolvadex in combination with Proviron and Aldactone used correctly will yield seriously hard physiques.
Dosage
Dosage is usually 50mgs per day in two 25mgs dosages, one in morning, one ion the evening. Depending on the need, 25mg per day can be sufficient depending on the type of steroids used in combination. 50mg of Proviron and 25mgs of Nolvadex per day will in most cases lead to complete suppression of estrogen.
Side Effects
Side effects are rare with Proviron and since more is better does most certainly not apply to Proviron, larger doses is simply a waste of money and yields no addition effect, in fact the reverse may well occur as overdosing will lead to water retention. Proviron is also light on the liver so dysfunction is to be expected. One side effect that is worth looking out for is a distinct sexual over stimulation that can lead to constant erection that can be very painful and harmful to the tissue in the penis. In these cases dosage should be lowered immediately or alternative medical attention should be sought.
Proviron is not suited for women but some women who do use it should not exceed 25mgs per day. There are to date no Proviron fakes or generic fakes.
