Cheap syringes

Lately we have been getting a few reports of vials being short in amounts so I investigated. The method I used was to calculate the actual amount of fluid in the vials based on the actual vail dimensions, this yielded very accurate results.

In almost all users one will find that one takes up a bit more fluid than 1ml so the last injections is always a bit short, but by as much as 1ml except for rare cases.

So I turned my attention the the syringes. here I found a whole bunch of discrepancies. Seems that some of the cheap syringes, the problem being we cannot always pic and choose what we buy, there is calibration issues. I check this against an accurate ruler and fount the markings to be relatively accurate, but the big probe lm was where they where printed on the syringes. There is quite a few discrepancies here, because of the shape of both the syringes and plungers one cannot always accurately work out the volume but I'm fairly sure there has been batches where the printing has been offset from the front of the syringe.

Make sure you check your syringes for smears or bad printing of the measures on them, my guess is that one would find a batch that is out at a time as opposed to one single syringe.
